Paradigm Motion Picture Co. is developing an epic trilogy of films about the three pipers in history who earned the Victoria Cross. Together they form the Pipes of War series: The Hero of Dargai: Piper George Findlater, VC, The Piper of Loos: Daniel Laidlaw, VC, and Unparalleled Valour: The Story of James Richardson, VC.

From the North-West Frontier of India to the killing fields of Loos and the Somme, these films bring to life the men who carried  bagpipes into battle and changed history. Unparalleled Valour is the flagship of the series.

OUR MISSION

Pipes of War exists to honor, preserve, and share the living legacy of military pipers across history—through film, podcast, writing, and archival research—by telling true, human stories of courage, sacrifice, and service in the voice of those who lived them. We document the role of the pipes in war and remembrance, from the earliest battlefields to modern conflicts, and connect audiences to the people behind the music: the pipers who marched, comforted, rallied, and commemorated. Above all, Pipes of War is committed to respectful, historically grounded storytelling that ensures these voices—and what they stood for—are not forgotten.
